The K-TET 2014 was conducted on
September 27, 2014 and October 18, 2014. K-TET is conducted to assess
the quality of teacher candidates for Lower Primary (Category I), Upper
Primary (Category II), High School (Category III) classes and Category
IV (for Language Teachers-Arabic, Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu (up to UP
classes), Specialist Teachers (Art & Craft) & Physical Education
teachers in Kerala.

Teacher Eligibility Test is mandatory to
ensure that persons recruited as teachers possess the essential
aptitude and ability to meet the challenges of teaching at all levels.
The test is conducted in accordance with
the guidelines published by State Council of Educational Research and
Training (SCERT) Kerala.
